Chris Colfer known for his portrayal as Kurt Hummel on the hit television series "Glee" had a book signing event at Barnes and Noble The Grove in Los Angeles last. Colfer looked fresh and relaxed... donned a fitted gray collared shirt with his signature spiky hair was cheerful to every fan he met. I brought my 6-year old son to the event. Being a fan of Chris Colfer, I didn't mind the long commute from OC to LA. We got to The Grove late and my son and I were at the end of the line which was about three blocks from the bookstore, (Third street and Gilmore). While waiting in line, it was a good thing I brought my umbrella because it was raining hard that day. My son didn't complain or threw a fit, infact, he loved the idea of us sharing the umbrella. While waiting in line, I asked some fans about Chris Colfer's book signing. A girl with the name of Angie who was infront of us said, "I like the book, the author but it's raining right now. I don't exactly like what we have to do. There's a lot of people in front of us and it's raining really hard. I don't like the waiting time." Another female fan who's been waiting in line for two hours said, "I'm really excited about it. I want to meet him really badly. I'm in LA of course I want to meet a celebrity. The rain and the line is killing me on the inside slowly but I will be ok." Like Spencer (my 6-year-old son) and I, I told him we will be ok in the rain even though the line was moving slow. Another female fan from LA said, "I love his books and all of his work that he's done. He is an inspiration to people so it is amazing to go and just hear him and take a picture. As we got closer, my son Spencer said, "We're finally here mom." When we reached the podium and Chris, Spencer said, "We've been waiting for two hours in the rain." And Chris replied, "What is your name?" And my son said, "Spencer." Chris said, "Well, thank you for waiting in the rain for two hours Spencer." And so my book is signed and Spencer and I had some snacks and went home. I am giving away Chris Colfer's autographed book "The Land of Stories Beyond the Kingdoms."
