We were first introduced to Lauren Conrad in 2004 when MTV cast her in a reality TV series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. After graduating from high school, Conrad was given her own spin-off, The Hills. The former reality star is now a pop culture phenom… fashion line with Kohl’s, a social media star, a #1 bestselling author and a major influence with millennials.

Her latest book entitled “Celebrate” gives us essential guide to entertaining. From the basic do’s and don’ts of party planning to invitations, recipes, decor, and wardrobe tips for different party themes. “Celebrate” gives us inspiring color photos from Conrad’s true to life events including her own wedding.

On April 2nd, I met the “Celebrate” author at Barnes & Noble The Grove in Los Angeles during her book launching event. Rockin’ a floral embroidered sleeveless dress looked absolutely stunning.

After her book signing event, Lauren Conrad did a short Q and A with popbuff.com. The lifestyle guru discussed her inspiration, what she learned , and the hardest part of writing her book.

Popbuff: Tell us about your current book. What was your inspiration in writing “Celebrate”?
Lauren: Planning my own wedding was something I really enjoyed and in the process I learned so much. I found myself planning friends’ parties and baby showers and decided it would make a great book.

Popbuff: What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Lauren: We started writing during holiday time and I don’t think we realized how busy that time of the year is. It was a lot of work, more than I expected but also a really fun book to write.

Popbuff: Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
Lauren: That the pre-planning is really the key. If I had one takeaway it’s that the more you do before the better.

Popbuff: How much do you love throwing parties.
Lauren: I have always loved parties from the time I was a young girl.

Popbuff: On planning/producing special events, is there any person you look up to?
Lauren: My close friend Cassandra Herschenfeld is a party planner and she does it with such ease and attention to detail. I am always in awe of her.

Popbuff: On a different note, you were on the cover of AdWeek. How did you feel being featured on one of the most prestigious advertising/brand trade papers?
Lauren: That was a great shoot for the social media issue. I really enjoyed shooting with them and like any cover, honored they agreed to feature me.

Popbuff: You were branded as a force on social media with millions of loyal followers. Can you give us some tips how to be a success on the social media world?
Lauren: Be true to who you are. Fans can see right through things that aren’t sincere.

Popbuff: What are you working on now?
Lauren: I am completing my book tour and working on the relaunch of my site, my 2 clothing lines and my website, the little market.
