I caught with Phillip Lantini, the General Manager of Epsilon to talk about their 10-inch and 15-inch battery powered loud speakers. The AirLink-15 is the world’s first Class-D Amplified Battery Powered 15” 2-Way Powered Speaker. He explained, “both of them have bluetooth technology. The 15-inch takes you a little step further. Very affordable. It has a short time to charge, about 8-hour playtime and it also includes USB recording. Retail price is around $399.99.” To hear more about the product see the video.

Another exhibitor I caught up with was Aaron Burch who is a music educator and the founder of Rock and Roll High. He coaches some of LA’s biggest young bands. He explained that the kid guitar is a “kid proof” input jack. The input jack is positioned so that kids can sit and play comfortably without causing damage to the cord and guitar. It also has a color coded neck so it makes learning easy.”

The highlight of the Press Preview Day was seeing Elie Samouhi one of the students from Rock and Roll High play one of my faves alternative songs, “The White Stripes” by Seven Nation Army.

If you are a musician, or just simply a music buff, NAMM is the event to go.
