On Oct. 26, the American indie rock band from Omaha, Nebraska, Bright Eyes, brought their powerhouse rock show to The Observatory OC in Santa Ana. Founded by singer-songwriter and guitarist Conor Oberst, released the first official Bright Eyes album, “A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995–1997”.
Bright Eyes is known for their stage chemistry between the bandmates and their dedicated fanbase. The band kicked off the show with “An Attempt to Tip the Scales” which hit the nail on the head for both veteran fans as well as some of new fans like me. The audience revved up and burst energy with the second song “Jejune Stars”. “Bowl of Oranges”, “Old Soul Song (for the New World Order)”and “Mariana Trench” which you could hear the crowd singing just as loud as the vocals. The show concluded with “Easy/Lucky/Free” which was a seamless performance.
I knew very little about Bright Eyes but when I saw their show, I was impressed on how talented the members of the band are. These are musicians performing great songs.
