I love gardens. Who doesn’t? Everytime I spend my time in the garden I get this feeling of joy. The bold colors of the flowers, the different palletes of greeneries, the butterflies and birds chirping, it’s an absolute catharsis from my busy life.
Every year Sherman Library Gardens has exhibits in the garden, whether sculptures, a presentation of different sorts like bed in the garden, Chinese New Year celebration, and a lot more. It has always been a “must see.” I’ve been here so many times including taking my late mother and my family.
Recently, I visited the garden for their latest exhibit. This year the theme was “green HOUSE – Lavish living rooms with a botanical twist”. The exhibit showcases seven rooms:
- The Parlor – upholstered sofa
- The Study – a succulent armchair
- The Music chamber – a moss-covered piano
- The Lavatory – white porcelain basin, bathtub and the toilet surrounding with water lilies
- The bedroom – a canopy of vines
- The formal dining room – with grand centerpieces
- The Solarium – Take a seat and enjoy the sun inside the glass solarium
The exhibit runs from June 17 until September 12. For more info, visit thesherman.org
