Yes I have a fever… an Oscar fever.
Every year, since I was a little girl, I always did the countdown to the Oscar’s Awards. Yes, even that young I was already into glitz and glamour. I remember in the 80’s when the movie “Terms of Endearment” received an Oscars Award for Best Picture in 1987. I heard a lot of buzz about that movie.
As we celebrate the Oscar Week this week, I could not help but feel giddy. Ask why? I was able to cover the Pre-Oscar show at The Dolby Theatre Plaza. Even if it’s not the Oscar Awards, I felt the amazing atmosphere – the giant curtain and the Oscar statue, construction on the stage, lighting and audio. It is amazing how they magically convert Hollywood and Highland into one of the glamorous events in the world. The stuff that made up the Oscars are simply impressive.
During my coverage, I ran into Melissa Rivers former panelist from Fashion Police of E!. She was gracious enough to have a photo op with me.
I also ran into one of my friends Diana from Estrella TV whom I met at the “Dolphin Tale” movie premiere. It was her first time to cover the Oscar’s and she said, “The atmosphere here is very exciting and I’m really happy to be here. It’s my first year here covering the Oscars and I can’t wait for Sunday. I love the fact that there’s a lot of Latino people building the stage, the red carpet and not too many people know that.”

At the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre
Thereafter, I headed to the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills to watch the Oscar nominated documentaries. I loved all of them and it’s hard to pick the best one.
Overall, it was a memorable experience. I can’t wait to go next year again.
Wow! <3!
