Grand Opening
On November 12, the Outlets at San Clemente opened with a big bang just in time for the holiday season. The grand opening weekend included a media preview day and a ribbon cutting ceremony. The first and only coastal outdoor outlet shopping and dining destination in Orange County were attended by local and state officials. Steven Craig, managing partner of Craig Realty Group lead the grand opening. Craig Realty Group is based in Newport Beach and known to be a leader in the development and management of upscale factory outlets. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, I asked Mr. Craig about the event and he said, “It was a terrific turn out, obviously it was the grand opening but the early comments we’ve heard from stores and people are very positive so I’m very optimistic.”
When one visits the Outlet you almost feel like you’re in a resort with fresh ocean breeze, ocean view and such great amenities to consumers such as valet parking, complimentary Wi-Fi, stroller and wheelchair rentals, and ultra comfortable chic restrooms. Speaking of restroom, I was blown away of how beautiful the ladies restroom look. Bree Cox, designer from Pacifique Maison Laguna Beach was responsible for designing the comfy ladies restroom.
The grand opening celebration included a color ceremony by the US marines, a big blue bow to mark the festive event, and DJ that played lively music to add the perfect mood. The opening also featured fast-casual eateries and more than 35 retail stores such as Tommy Hilfiger, Vans, White House Black Market, Papaya, Converse, Bass Factory Outlet, Cole Haan, H&M and a lot more. For a full list of stores opening soon, visit the website of Outlets at San Clemente.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
Following the Grand Opening was the inaugural Tree Lighting Ceremony and concert held on November 14. Valentine of 104.3 MY FM Los Angeles morning show hosted the festivity with featured guests American Authors (known for the hit song Best Day of My Life), Nick Fradiani (2015 American Idol winner), and local up-an-coming singer from the first season of X-Factor, John Lindahl.
A photo of stoked fans from the stage is a testimonial that the event was a smashing success.
The ocean-facing outdoor outlet is situated between Avenida Vista Hermosa and Avenida Pico along the I-5 freeway. The Outlets at San Clemente evokes the spirit of a Spanish Village and reflects the city’s historical aesthetic commitment.
