Meet the exceptionally talented Ardyanna Ducusin, affectionately known as “Ardy” to her friends and family. Ardy, a Filipino American, has amassed an impressive array of 27 awards in acting and singing. Her journey began with a bang when she landed a role in the national commercial for Cheerios, associated with Disney’s The Lion King. However, her accomplishments don’t end there. Ardy’s highlights include a captivating performance in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome for the New Year’s Day Mass with Pope Francis, commemorating the 44th International Congress of Pueri Cantores. This event saw 4,000 Pueri Cantores choristers from around the globe singing for the Papal Mass on January 1, 2024. Moreover, Ardy was selected to be part of an NFL Super Bowl 2024 commercial, a meaningful opportunity as it aimed to promote “Stop Bullying,” perfectly aligning with her upcoming campaign on “Youth Mental Health Awareness.”
The 11-year-old artist ventured into singing and acting when she participated in a talent search hosted by Seattle Talent in Washington. Seattle Talent encouraged her to join her first competition with International Model and Talent in Los Angeles in 2019. To her delight, she clinched 13 awards across nine categories, including “Best Actor” and “Most Sought After Female Talent.” This success led to an impressive 32 callbacks from various agents and management. She signed with her first agent and landed her debut national TV commercial, Cheerios. Since then, she secured numerous gigs, projects, and events.
Born in Glendale, CA (a county of Los Angeles) Ardy began singing passionately at the age of four and expressed to her mom her dream of seeing herself on TV. She mentioned she enjoys singing because it allows her to express her emotions and find inspiration. She remarked, “Singing feels like I’m praying twice to the Lord.” When asked who she wants to perform with, she replied her ultimate dream is to perform alongside Adele. Ardy also admires Anne Hathaway because of her role as a princess in “Princess Diaries” (as Amelia) and her role as Fantine in “Les Misérables“.
Of all the many performances she did, performing as “Young Simba” in The Lion King Jr. Musical was one of her favorite performances. Ardy has a deep love for musicals as they bring out her passion for both singing and acting, and this particular musical was a perfect example of that.
Aside from acting and singing, Ardy composes songs. She enjoys playing musical instruments such as the piano and guitar. In her free time, she enjoys reading books by Rick Riordan and indulging in speed cubing. She is homeschooled, which gives her the flexibility to attend auditions and work on projects as needed.
As to her inspiration, she finds inspiration in her parents. “They have been my biggest supporters since the beginning. Their support and encouragement drive me to pursue excellence in all that I do,” Ardy explained. Her parents are incredibly grateful for her passion and continuously supportive of her dreams. Richelle, Ardy’s mom remarked “We hope that one day, she’ll achieve everything she aspires to do”.
Ardy recently completed a musical, “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” at the Rose Theatre in Westminster. Additionally, her podcast on Youth Mental Health Awareness is scheduled to launch sometime soon. Looking ahead, she’s excited to be a part of two upcoming musicals: Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” in April and “Karim at Jasmin,” the Filipino Musical Opera, in June. Keep an eye out for her newest composition, set to be released this spring. Furthermore, she’ll be performing in Canada this summer.
In the years to come, we can expect to see Ardyanna Ducusin continue to make waves and inspire others with her passion, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her craft. With her boundless talent and infectious energy, she is undoubtedly destined for success.
