Instagrammable Spots in San Clemente

It’s been two years since my family and I became a transplant of San Clemente and absolutely loving it. San Clemente dubbed as the Spanish Village by the sea. The city is aesthetically pleasing. And if you like Instagram like I do, it’s time to rack up those “likes”.

16. San Luis Rey Park
A gentle neighborhood park which is also adjacent to San Clemente Municipal Golf Course which is also known as “Muni”. For Instagram photos you can’t go wrong with the rolling hills backdrop of the “Muni”.

13. Leslie Park
A tiny two-level waterfront park with two benches and an open grass. But don’t estimate the size, because it has an incredible view of the ocean and sunset.

12. San Clemente Beach Trail
If you love hiking but don’t like the hills and love the ocean breeze then this is the trail for you. You can also take some photos of palm trees, steep stairs that head to the top of the hill.

11. Outlets at San Clemente
I am fortunate to be near the outlet. It’s so convenient to go and check those clearance tags. The Outlets at San Clemente is a Spanish-style village overlooking the Pacific Ocean with over 60 brand stores. Take those photos on the parking lot with a stunning view or right inside the outlet with palm trees and bougainvillas

8. Downtown San Clemente in Avenida Del Mar
Don’t get confused with Avenida Del Mar and Del Mar San Diego. Avenida Del Mar is considered the downtown district of San Clemente. A great place to shop, eat, listen to live music, gallivant and of course take photos. A number of eclectic shops and restos for every palate and budget.

5. Garden Cottage (Private)
Manicured gardens, red-orange brick paving stones, and cobalt blue mosaic tile that lead you to the rustic shabby chic main door are all instagram worthy shots. But because this venue is exclusively for Bed and Breakfast customers, you may still book the place for your photography needs. For pricing go to https://gardencottageinn.com/photography

4. Calafia Beach Park
This quaint little beach is quite narrow and you have to cross the train tracks to get to the beach. But the highlight for me is the beautiful rock formation. A lot of wedding photographies take place here.
