On Sept 16, Academy Award winning actor and number one New York Times bestselling author of “Greenlights”, Matthew McConaughey had a book launching and photo op event at Barnes & Noble The Grove in Los Angeles.
“Just Because” is the debut picture book of McConaughey. The book is an illustration of vignettes of young adults. But honestly, people of all ages can benefit from this book because it touches so many aspects of situations from friendships to frustrations. In this book, McConaughey shares his favorite life lessons.

“The event started at 10:00 am and the line was already wrapped as long as W. 3rd St. I invited two of my friends from Orange County as we have never seen Mr. McConaughey in person. We were impressed how organized and fast it was. When it was my turn for the photo-op, I mentioned to him that I came all the way from San Clemente, and he said that he truly appreciated it. “On that weekend I had the privilege to drive up to The Grove in LA with my friend to meet up with another friend for the Matthew McConaughey book signing. It wasn’t so much a book signing as it was a meet and greet. Standing on a long, long line for our 10 AM scheduled time was actually so much fun. We met some really nice people while on line. Meeting Matthew was QUICK. I did have the opportunity to ask one QUICK question prior to be shuffled off stage right. The cover of the new book, has a treehouse, I asked Matthew if this was the treehouse he built as a kid. If you haven’t read Greenlights yet, do so.
