On July 16, 2026, singer-songwriter and actress Suki Waterhouse celebrated the release of her highly anticipated third studio album, Loveland, with a special meet-and-greet at the iconic Licorice Pizza record store in Studio City, Los Angeles.
This marked my second time featuring Suki Waterhouse on Popbuff. Back in 2022, I covered the promotion of her concert at The Echo in Los Angeles during the release of her sophomore album, I Can’t Let Go. It was exciting to see how much she has grown as an artist over the past few years, and this time I had the opportunity to meet her in person during the launch of what she describes as her most realized work to date.
The excitement was undeniable as fans lined up inside and outside Licorice Pizza, proudly displaying freshly purchased vinyl copies of Loveland. The crowd spanned generations—from enthusiastic teenagers discovering her music to Gen X fans who have followed her artistic journey over the years. Many eagerly posed for photos with their albums while waiting for the opportunity to meet Waterhouse, receive an autograph, and celebrate the release of her newest record.
Fans filled the sidewalk outside Licorice Pizza in Studio City on July 16 as singer-songwriter Suki Waterhouse celebrated the release of her third studio album, Loveland. Vinyl records in hand and excitement in the air, music lovers of all ages gathered for an intimate meet-and-greet with the British artist, turning the iconic record store into one of Los Angeles’ hottest album release celebrations of the summer.
For the occasion, Waterhouse embraced her signature effortless style. She wore a casual red-and-white raglan baseball shirt paired with artistically painted wide-leg jeans and colorful sneakers, perfectly capturing her vintage-inspired aesthetic. Her soft, natural makeup and relaxed demeanor made the meet-and-greet feel warm and approachable, making fans feel as though they were meeting a friend rather than a celebrity.
Throughout the event, Waterhouse warmly greeted each fan, signed posters and vinyl records, posed for photos, and took time to exchange smiles and brief conversations with everyone who came out to celebrate Loveland.
During the event, I had the opportunity to ask Waterhouse what she discovered about herself while creating her latest album. Reflecting on both her personal and artistic journey, she shared that the experience strengthened her confidence and helped her embrace different sides of herself as a songwriter.
“Oh my God, that’s a hard question to answer. I think I’ve discovered duality. I think I’ve discovered that I can do both things at once. I think I have a new belief in myself. I think my songwriting is evolving so much and I think this is my most realized work. Yeah.”
Her thoughtful response revealed an artist who has grown more confident in both her creative process and her identity. As she continues to evolve as a songwriter, Loveland represents an important milestone in her career—a collection of songs she believes most fully captures who she is today.
For everyone who attended the Studio City launch, the event was more than just an album signing. It was an opportunity to celebrate music, connect with fellow fans, and witness an artist entering a new chapter with confidence, authenticity, and a renewed belief in herself.
